Equans is looking for a Senior Technical Assurance Manager (Audit) to join our team. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, split 50% home based and 50% site based. Covering sites across the Central Belt of Scotland. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance and excellent benefits package (information below).
We are looking for a highly competent, operationally focussed Engineering/Technical Manager. You’ll be joining a dynamic and growing central engineering function, with the ability to work autonomously, and within an established group of Engineering Experts.
What will you deliver?

Acting as the central audit and compliance specialist in Scotland, you’ll be responsible for auditing and supporting a broad spectrum of customer contracts, including within the Manufacturing, Transport, Central Government, Industrial, Retail, Leisure, Healthcare, Education and Corporate Sectors. These will include Private and Public Sector customers (inc. PFI).

Ensure compliance standards and documentation are understood and implemented by the contract engineering/compliance teams.

Provide advice to strategic leaders and Subject Matter Expert support (in your specialist discipline) to the Divisions Operational teams regarding all aspects of general Compliance.
- Responsible for the development and delivery of an independent Technical Assurance Auditing Programme in Scotland, supported by the Head of Technical.
- You will be expected to build strong collaborative relationships with our operational teams and clients to provide SME assistance to our contracts, supporting closure of Audit No-Conformances, and championing standardisation across the region.
- Support in the procurement, setting to work and monitoring of key service providers, ensuring inspections, maintenance, testing, verification and repairs are carried out to the correct standard.
- support the review of data during mobilisation periods, and assist operations with the prioritisation of remedial works to achieve compliance.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support across the business including into bids, projects, new opportunities and day to day operational support, including advice and guidance on best practice standards, system and operational asset performance improvements.

Who are we looking for?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience in Engineering and Management
- Member of a relevant Institution e.g. IMechE, CIBSE, IET
- Health and Safety Qualification NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent
- Auditing training and/or significant previous experience
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Safety systems
- Good understanding and working knowledge of PFI contracts and (S)HTM requirements
- Good knowledge of general compliance in Facilities Management
- Experience working in a highly competent, multi discipline engineering team
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)
- Demonstrate significant experience or understanding of operational estates management, including posts held at a senior level
- Permit to Work, Risk Assessment and Method Statement training or experience
- Understanding of Written Schemes of Examination
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and British Standards
