Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrician to join our team on our contract with Bassetlaw Schools on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. There is also on call 1 week in 5. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Carry out maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults on electrical building services, electrical switch gear, domestic and industrial installations. This role will operate across 10 establishments across Bassetlaw (6 secondary schools, 1 SEN school, 2 post 16 centres and 2 leisure facilities)
  • Carry out planned and minor project electrical works, any other duties that may be required in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the contract

  • Establish good working relationships with other team members, provide guidance to others (e.g., apprentices and caretaking staff)

  • Contribute to the overall team and company objectives, responding quickly to new directives

  • Understand working Risk Assessments, can complete a Point of Work Risk Assessment

  • Ensure appropriate PPE is worn/used and kept in good working order

  • Ensure work areas is protected using appropriate barriers/signs

  • Ensure work area is left safe on completion of the job

Who are we looking for?

  • Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with electronic test equipment

  • Ability to follow work instructions, read/ interpret technical diagrams and report technical information as required

  • Electrical fault finding & rectification skills

  • City & Guilds Level III or equivalent is a minimum requirement

  • 18th Edition Qualified

  • City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection

  • Valid driving licence

This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
