Equans is looking for 2x Shift Engineering Supervisors to join our team on site in Westminster, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering 7 days per week. On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
The role is site based, covering one very large, Grade II* listed government office building in Central London. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring the effective management of the engineering team to guarantee all duties are fulfilled and using best working practices.
You will ideally be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas: PPM, RW, minor works, fault finding, electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase), HVAC, HV/LV switching, electrical isolations and general building fabric maintenance tasks.
- Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are handled accurately and on time therefore ensuring we deliver a high standard of work to the client at all times
- Deliver PPM and reactive works to plan
- Have a flexible approach to working, using own initiative to prioritise and complete all tasks in a timely and professional manor
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate parties
- Uphold the companies’ safe working processes and procedures
- Demonstrate a good level of commercial awareness and an understanding of working within the constraints of strict KPI’s.
- Experience of working on a PFI would be desirable
- Experience of working on CAFM systems would also be of benefit to the successful candidate, but not mandatory.

Who are we looking for?
Essential
- Broad knowledge and experience of building services
- Experience of managing a team, preferably in an engineering discipline
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
- Knowledge of CAFM systems
- Ability to liaise with management & workforce
- Ability to act on own initiative
- Possess basic commercial acumen
- Full Clean Driving licence
- Be practical and demonstrate good common sense
- Currently have CTC clearance or able to gain CTC clearance.
- Good general knowledge is required with the ability to reason
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Leadership training
- 18th Edition Test & Inspection
- City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in plumbing preferable
- City & Guilds or equivalent NVG in mechanical engineering
