Equans is looking for a Support Team leader to join our team in Bellshill, Avondale House on a Fixed term basis for 6 months. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and company benefits package.
Overview:
This role is to provide contractual support to the mobile and site-based teams that are engaged on contract, by focussing on customer service and ensuring efficient delivery of back-office systems.
General administration and supervisory duties will include the supervision and support of the support team, providing leadership, guidance, and assistance with associated tasks.
As line manager for all members of the support team, the Support Team Leader will ensure all team members discharge their duties in a proactive, effective, and efficient manner, thereby supporting the contract teams to enable successful delivery of Equan’s contractual responsibilities.
This will involve liaising with Managers & Supervisors daily, to ensure the smooth running of the contract and thereafter report any issues to the Account Manager.
Various ad-hoc projects will arise, and ownership will also be the responsibility of the Account Manager.
Key Deliverables?
- Oversee a team of admin staff by ensuring all processes such as absence, lateness, adherence, Personal Development and setting of objectives are followed in line with Equans processes and procedures.
- Manage the Support Team resource to ensure there is adequate cover throughout the day.
- Demonstrate a clear and focussed approach by maintaining Customer Service and improving Customer Relationships.
- Ensure that every team member is contributing equally and complete a review of workloads using monthly generated reports.
- Have a strong focus on managing financial issues to maximise profitability from reactive and scheduled extra works.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself and others who may be affected by their acts and omissions and to co-operate with his/her employer so far as is necessary to enable them to carry out their statutory duty.
- Demonstrate a rapid response to customer billing issues and show a systematic approach to problem solving.
- Resolve issues at first level and escalate to the Account Manager when/where required.
- Monitor and review completion of the Compliance Document Tracker, highlighting issues and omissions to the Contract Managers and the Account Manager.
- Monitor and review the contract monthly report’s and escalate to Contract Managers, the Account Manager, or the Regional Manager where necessary.
- Liaise with PurchaseCard Team on any issues relating to the issue, use and coding of PCards and associated transactions.
- Adhere to operational and contractual procedures and where necessary ensure the smooth implementation and training of any new processes.
- Demonstrate accountability for personal performance.
- Prioritise delivery of time critical billing requirements to minimise delays in revenue recovery and any aged WIP • Work from weekly finance reports to monitor progress in WIP reduction and where required prioritise the workload of the team.
- Responsible for the delivery of the monthly Overtime Submission for all Contract Staff and Engineers • Ensure the support team are logging timesheets and chargeable works within the correct systems, accurately capturing, and posting attendance detail by the engineers.
- Provide full support and further training to the Support Team and any new starters on an ongoing basis.

Required skills/knowledge:
- Good IT knowledge and experience covering knowledge of MS Outlook and other MS Office packages including Word and Excel.
- Sufficient background and experience in a similar role.
- FM / Property Experience • Knowledge of other MS Office packages, including PowerPoint, Access.
- Knowledge of Room and Desk Booking systems • General understanding of wide order to cash process • Knowledge of in-house systems advantageous e.g., working knowledge of SAP, PLANON would be beneficial
