Electrician

Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team at Torness Power Station, EH42 1QS on a Permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Attends pre-job brief and asks questions to check understanding.
• Reads and understands Work Order/Instructions/Method Statements.
• Selects equipment for the job and checks that it is in good working order.
• Selects appropriate materials for the job and ensures that it is in proper working order.
• Reads and understands the wiring diagrams appropriate to the task.
• Capable of installing cable, conduit, and tray.
• Removes barriers/signs at the appropriate time.
• Disposes of equipment in accordance with instructions and legislation.
• Completes Work Order card indicating work completed.

Who are we looking for?

• Recognised Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification
• ECS Health and Safety
• 18th Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671 or greater
• Electrical experience in commercial and industrial installations.
• Experience of working on Nuclear sites preferred but not essential
• Lighting and small power
• Testing and inspection
• Panel modifications and builds
• Cat 5 installations
• Safe electrical isolation

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
