We currently have an exciting opportunity for an M&E Maintenance Supervisor to join our facilities management team working on our Metropolitan Police contract based at Lewisham police station and covering two other police sites at Sutton and Bromley. This is a permanent full-time mobile role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 0800 to 1700.
The role:
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- To oversee/manage PPM and Reactive maintenance duties to assets on the contract either with direct labour or subcontractors for the Hard FM services working across Metropolitan Police South East London and Gravesend sites
- To supervise staff and contractors to ensure that the Mechanical and Electrical elements of the contract are delivered. This will include input to the CAFM system (Maximo) and KPI monitoring
- To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials in order to ensure the highest levels of equipment and building availability
- To ensure that work is carried out to the highest standards and that all statutory legislation is complied with.
- To develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required. To undertake a proactive approach in ensuring all plant and equipment is fully operational to maintain operational efficiency.
- To be trained and appointed in at least 2 x AP/RP roles and attend training as necessary to maintain the roles
- Working 40 hours per week from 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday, plus participation in the on call rota and out of hours activity
The person:
- Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
- Experience of building maintenance essential
- Good organisational skills, able to prioritise workload
- Good communication skills together with a first class customer service ethic
- Ability to use initiative and judgement to solve problems
- Must hold valid full UK driving license
- Successful applicants will be subject to Metropolitan Police security vetting

What will you deliver?

Mobile Fabric Engineer
Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
An opportunity has arisen within our company for a full-time Fabric Engineer to join the Stoke Schools PFI Contract. The prospective employees will be expected to carry out duties including minor fabric works, planned maintenance and reactive repair works across 88 sites, ensuring all fabric works are completed to a high standard.

- Undertake minor repair works (Re-active Maintenance) in line with trade qualifications and or skill set for all types of fabric works

- Completion of installation and minor works in line with fabric trade qualifications

What will you deliver?
- Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24hr maintenance Service within the Portsmouth Hospital Trust for the service provide
- Undertake any training as required

- The role involves the Installation and deinstallation of National Lottery equipment across the UK and Ireland at Circa 44,000 retailers.

- Ensure safe manual handling is adhered to.

Mobile Fabric Technician
Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Technician to join our team in Peterborough on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
As a Mobile Fabric Technician you will be providing fabric services and associated skills to maintain three schools forming the PFI Peterborough Schools contract.

What will you deliver?
- Maintaining relevant qualifications and current knowledge in the trades of carpentry and fabric is essential for the safe and effective execution of duties.
- To apply the relevant trade skills to undertake scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks proactively or as directed. This will include the maintenance, repair and installations works for tasks such as internal and external doors and frames (including fire doors), timber partitioning/dry lining, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry and fire prevention works (doors collars, partitioning etc)
- Carry out minor building fabric & decoration works as directed.
- Support Facilities Site Officers in their duties if required.
- To manage workload using PDA handheld device and be familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software system.
- To advise on parts/labour for additional works interfacing with suppliers as required and to recommend and maintain an adequate stock level to ensure service delivery

Multi skilled trade Operative
EQUANS is looking for a Multi Skilled Trade Operative to join our team in Birmingham. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
To provide a multi-skilled trade service, working on the allocated site. Assist the Site team with day to day running of the project. To carry out the duties as a labourer in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Site Manager in producing a quality product within the contract period and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy and strategy.

EQUANS are recruiting for a Roofer to be based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
To carry out the duties as a Roofer in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out various Roofing tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
- Tiled Roofs
- Slated Roofs
- Flat Roofs
- Leadwork – flashings etc
- Pointing Valleys and verges

- Working Safely at Height
- Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:

- High quality Customer Care must always act in a polite and professional manor.
- Maintain and care for all company tools.
- 1st time fix to be achieved wherever possible.
- To use appropriate safety equipment

- To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.
- To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate.
